The reason for this is that three ragas have been included in it. The Indian National Flag has <strong>saffron color<\/strong> at the top, <strong>white color<\/strong> in the middle and <strong>green color<\/strong> at the bottom. That is why it is called Tricolor. These three colors have different meanings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Saffron color is a symbol of bravery and sacrifice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The White color is a symbol of peace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And, the Green color is an indicator of greenery and happiness.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>But our National flag was not always like this. It has changed many times in the last 117 years. It has come before us in various forms.<strong> Pingali Venkayya<\/strong>, an <strong>Indian freedom fighter<\/strong> and member of the <strong>National Congress<\/strong>, designed the Tricolor as we see it today. The <strong>Constituent Assembly<\/strong>, in its meeting on<strong> 22 July 1947<\/strong>, accepted this flag as the <strong>flag of independent India<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Flag of the year 1906<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The<strong> first Indian National Flag<\/strong> was hoisted in <strong>Calcutta<\/strong> in the year 1906. The design of the National flag at that time was very different. This flag had three colored stripes: <strong>Green, Yellow and Red<\/strong>. There were <strong>8 Lotus Flowers<\/strong> in the green strip above, these were white. <strong>Vande Mataram<\/strong> was written on the middle strip. There was a white colored moon and sun on the bottom strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Flag of the year 1907<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Exactly one year later, in 1907, a second flag was proposed for the country. <strong>Bhikajikama<\/strong> prepared this flag along with his revolutionary friends. This flag had three stripes: <strong>Saffron, Yellow and Green<\/strong>. Vande Mataram was written in the middle. The moon, sun and 8 stars were made in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Flag of the year 1917<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A decade earlier, in 1917, <strong>Annie Besant and Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak<\/strong> had proposed another flag for the country. He prepared this new flag. This flag had <strong>five red and four green stripes<\/strong>. The end of the flag featured a triangular shape made of black. At the same time, there was also a <strong>symbol of Union Jack<\/strong> in the left corner. Apart from the moon and stars, seven stars were also depicted as <strong>Saptarishi<\/strong> in the flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Flag of the year 1921<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the year 1921, at the Congress meeting in Vijayawada, someone gave a flag to <strong>Gandhiji<\/strong>. It was made of red colour. Gandhiji made changes to this flag and added a white stripe to it. In this, he also mentioned the charkha in the middle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Flag of the year 1931<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Then in the year 1931, another <strong>Tricolor flag<\/strong> was prepared. This flag had saffron color at the top, white color in the middle and a green stripe at the end. There was also a small spinning wheel in the middle. This flag was officially accepted by the <strong>Indian National Congress<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Today&#8217;s Tricolor was found in the year 1947<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1947, India got the form of the Tricolor that we see today. It was recognized as the <strong>National flag in the Constituent Assembly<\/strong> meeting on <strong>22 July 1947<\/strong>. It was designed by <strong>freedom fighter Pingali Venkaiah<\/strong>. He incorporated colors very thoughtfully. The Saffron color is at the top in the Tricolor. It is a symbol of bravery and sacrifice. There is a white color in the middle which symbolizes peace. At the bottom, the green color symbolizes greenery, happiness and prosperity. The <strong>Ashoka Chakra<\/strong> shown in the middle is from the<strong> Ashoka Pillar of Sarnath<\/strong>.
