Iran On Sunday indicated it had chosen Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's son Mojtaba as his successor, after Israel struck fuel depots in Tehran overnight and the conflict widened as Bahrain said an Iranian attack had damaged one of its desalination plants.

India and China should view each other as "partners, not rivals" and "opportunity instead of threat", Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here on Sunday.

At his annual press conference on the sidelines of the Chinese parliament, the National People's Congress (NPC), Wang said both countries should stick to the direction set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping to improve relations without interference.

NCB busts darknet-based drug trafficking network

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said on Sunday that it has dismantled a dark-net-based drug trafficking network operating nationwide under the name "Team Kalki". 

Active since January last year, the syndicate used encrypted platforms, including darknet forums and a messaging app, to deliver synthetic drugs across India, the NCB said.

It could also impact high-earning women more than men, the study has found.

From 'control' to 'management': Behind AP's new population policy

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Andhra Pradesh government last week introduced a draft Population Management Policy in the Legislative Assembly.

The proposed policy is a direct response to the state's falling fertility rate, which is among India's lowest, well below the replacement level of 2.1. AP's total fertility rate (TFR) has dropped to 1.5: that is, a woman in the state is producing only 1.5 children on an average.
