Telangana govt. issues guidelines for Musi rejuvenation project
The Telangana government has reiterated that the ambitious Musi Riverfront Development Project is not merely a river cleaning exercise but a broader social responsibility.
The government is firm that development of the river should not displace people but should involve them
as stakeholders and hence, detailed guidelines have been drafted for taking up the Phase I project. The project is planned in five phases covering 55 km with technical and financial discussions on Phase-I involving an estimated ₹7,055 crore.

Karnataka proposes 'Wisdom Valley' in Bengaluru Airport City
The Karnataka State Policy and Planning Commission (KSPPC) has proposed establishment of Wisdom Valley, a world-class Knowledge City dedicated to promoting education, research, innovation and sustainable urban development at the Bengaluru Airport City, which is located near the Kempegowda International Airport.
"The project seeks to create a globally recognised ecosystem by integrating international institutes, research centres, innovation hubs, and knowledge-based industries within a single integrated urban framework.

DRDO, IAF conduct maiden trial of TARA glide weapon
The Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Indian Air Force have conducted the maiden flight-trial of the Tactical Advanced Range Augmentation (TARA) weapon system off the coast of Odisha on Thursday. TARA is India's first indigenous glide weapon system capable of converting conventional unguided warheads into precision-guided weapons for accurately engaging ground-based targets.

MGNREGS scale, workdays fell in 2025-26, finds study
The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) saw a sharp contraction in its scale and reach in 2025-26, according to a report on the final operational year of the scheme introduced by the Congress-led UPA regime.
