Xi will attend BRICS summit, hold bilateral talks with Modi

Giving new impetus to efforts for restoration of ties between the two countries after a long, tense military standoff along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced Thursday that President Xi Jinping will be travelling to India to attend the BRICS summit in New Delhi on September 12-13.

Nirmal District, in northern Telangana, tops a new ranking: 78% of all its informal workers are women, the highest of any district in the country. Nanded, immediately across the state border in Maharashtra, is ranked 288th in the country, with women making up only 31% of its informal workers.
