Uniform Civil Code in all 21 NDA states before 2029: Shah
The Uniform Civil Code will be implemented across all NDA-ruled states before the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Shah said, "Some states have introduced UCC. It is our resolve to enforce UCC in all 21 BJP-led NDA-ruled states before 2029 Lok Sabha polls."

Speaking at the BRICS Summit on Sunday, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres backed the demand from the Global South to expand the UN Security Council, which, he said, will help "bring balance and equity to global systems and institutions". India gets 1.64 mt EU steel quota, imports of EU cars may rise 6-fold
Amid tensions over steel exports to the European Union (EU) due to regulations such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), India has secured 1.64 million tonnes (mt) of steel export quota, across 16 categories, including specialised items like metallic coated sheets and stainless hot-rolled quarto plates, to the EU under the free trade agreement (FTA), as per draft India-EU deal released by Brussels.
