Al summit begins today, real-world solutions on table
Starting Monday, New Delhi will become the epicentre of global discourse around artificial intelligence (AI) as India hosts the Al Impact Summit 2026, with the country looking to put forth its prowess in building real-world Al solutions, become the leading voice on AI in the Global South, and secure a seat at the high table of technological leadership.

On building public Al, governments must be tactical but remain flexible
Infrastructure-based investments offer the highest-leverage, especially when they embrace lighter forms. But governments must also step outside the DPI framework to make targeted interventions.
In short, we are infrastructure first, but not infrastructure only. When it comes to building and funding public AI, governments must be tactical, but also flexible.
