Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen
- Educational Qualification:
- General/OBC/SC: Passed Class 10th or 10+2 equivalent
- ST: Passed Class 8th or equivalent
- Age Limit (as of 29 Sep 2025):
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age (General Male): 33 years
- Maximum age for reserved categories, women, ex-servicemen, government employees: 38 years
- Special relaxations exist for medalists and certain inter-caste marriages

- Register online at www.esb.mp.gov.in using Aadhaar authentication (mandatory).

- Departmental Exam Fee: General ₹200, Reserved ₹100

Selection Process
- Phase 1: Computer-Based Written Test (100 MCQs, 2 hours, no negative marking)
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 40 marks
- Reasoning & Mental Ability: 30 marks
- Science & Basic Maths: 30 marks
- Minimum qualifying marks: 30% (out of 100)
- Phase 2: Physical Proficiency Test (Running, long jump, shot put)
- Phase 3: Medical Examination (height, chest measurements, vision, fitness, etc.)

Salary Structure
- Pay Scale: ₹19,500–₹62,000 (Level 4)
- Probation:
- 1st year: 70% of basic
- 2nd year: 80% of basic
- 3rd year: 90% of basic
