Recently, the Prime Minister of India inaugurated 103 Amrit Bharat stations across 18 states from Bikaner, Rajasthan.

These stations, situated in 86 districts across 18 States and union territories, have been developed at a cost of over ₹1,100 crore.
Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
• The scheme aims to enhance and modernise railway stations throughout the Indian Railways network.
• The scheme was launched by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, in 2022.
• The scheme currently intends to upgrade and modernise over 1,300 stations across the Indian Railway system.
Key improvements include:
• Upgraded entry and exit points
• Renovated waiting halls, toilets, platforms, and roofing
• Installation of lifts, escalators, and free Wi-Fi where required
• Enhanced signage and passenger information systems.
