PM Matritva Vandana Yojana is being run for women by the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of India. Women in the country are given benefits through this scheme. Prime Minister Matritva Vandana Yojana 2024

Prime Minister Matritva Vandana Yojana was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2017. Through this scheme, financial assistance is provided to pregnant and breastfeeding women. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 11,000 is given in three installments from the conception of the woman till the birth of the child, which is sent to the woman’s bank account through DBT. So that women can nurture their children well. All pregnant women are provided with financial assistance as well as free medicines and facilities for pre and post-pregnancy medical check-ups etc.

To take advantage of this scheme, women can apply through both online and offline processes. This scheme helps pregnant women to provide adequate nutrition to the mother and child by providing financial assistance.

Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana

  • To avail of benefits under Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, the applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant woman must be 19 years or older.
  • Pregnant and lactating women will be eligible under this scheme.
  • Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi helpers and ASHAs can also avail the benefits of this scheme.
  • The bank account of the applicant woman should be linked to an Aadhaar card.

  • On clicking, the registration form will open in front of you.

If you are not able to apply online then you can also apply through the offline process under Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana.

  • To apply offline, first of all, you have to go to your nearest Anganwadi centre or health centre.
  • By going there you will have to get the application form of Prime Minister Matritva Vandana Yojana.
  • After receiving the application form, you will have to enter the required information in it.
  • After entering all the information, you have to attach the required documents with the application form.
  • Now you do not need to submit the application form with all the documents at the same place from where you received it.
  • At the time of submitting the application form, you will receive a receipt which you must keep safely with you.

Details of Financial Assistance Received Under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

Under Prime Minister Matritva Vandana Yojana, financial assistance is provided to the beneficiary woman in two installments. If a woman is going to become a mother for the first time, then an amount of Rs 5000 will be given to her under this scheme. After this, if a girl child is born for the second time, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs 6,000. Thus, under this scheme, a total amount of Rs 11,000 is given. For first-time mothers, Rs 5,000 is given, details of which are given below.

  • An assistance amount of Rs 3,000 is given in the first installment on registration of pregnancy and undergoing ANC at least once.
  • Second installment: An assistance amount of Rs 2,000 is given after the birth registration of the child and the first phase of vaccination.
  • Under this scheme, Rs 6,000 is given if the second child is a girl. Which will be given to the beneficiary in only one installment.
  • The money from all these installments is transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account.
