Staff Selection Commission (SSC) launched a new website, which went live on 17th February. Responding to the queries of candidates related to One-Time Registration (OTR) for various recruitments, the Commission has published a new notification. In the new notification, it was told that the notices of various examinations conducted by the Commission will now be published only on the new website.
The Commission informed that applications for recruitment will be accepted only on the new website. Applicants will have to do One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website to apply for the recruitment, as the previous OTR is no longer functional.
The official notification said, “It is clarified that the OTR previously generated by the candidates on the old website will remain valid for accessing various functionalities on the old website as and when required. However, that OTR will not work for the new website and candidates will have to prepare a fresh OTR on the new website.”

Benefits of SSC One-Time Registration 2024
There are many benefits of SSC OTR, one of the most important benefits of which is that candidates do not need to register themselves again and again. This is a one-time process where candidates can provide all their basic details to create a Registration ID and Password. This helps candidates save their time in applying for various SSC examinations and ensures transparency in the recruitment process.
SSC New Website: Live Photo Facility
The application module of the new website will have the facility to capture live photographs of the candidates. Earlier, applicants had to upload a pre-captured image. The new application module requires candidates to provide live images, which can be shot using a camera or Android device. The following instructions have been provided by the Commission for the Live Photo Capture facility:
- Find a place with good lighting and a plain background.
- Before taking a photo, make sure the camera is at eye level.
- Position yourself directly facing the webcam and look straight ahead.
- Candidates should not wear cap, mask or glasses while taking live photos.
